Today in class we talked about who is affected by a couple deciding not to have children, or a very few amount (1-2). Brother Williams had us make a list of all the people we thought we could affected by the choice of a couple deciding not to have children. My first thought was that obviously the spirits who were going to come and possess those mortal bodies would now not have the chance, or atleast not come to earth in those bodies. I cant imagine shutting down that choice for one of Heavenly Father's spirit children. It is not my right to take away that chance for one of Heavenly Father's children to come to this earth and to be born into the covenant of the true and living church. Then I went on to think, does that choice that the parents make affect God? Obviously it does affect Him, and His plan. His plan is perfect, but it is us that complicates it. Those spirits who were going to come into this earth, now have to come into it through worse circumstances perhaps.
Brigham Young said, "There are multitudes of pure and holy spirits waiting to take tabernacles, now what is our duty? To prepare tabernacles for them; to take a course that will not tend to drive those spirits into the families of the wicked, where they will be trained in wickedness, debauchery, and every species of crime. It is the duty of every righteous man and woman to prepare tabernacles for all the spirits they can."
That quote was super FUERTE as we say in spanish haha, we must have the family as the Lord intended. I know when my time comes to start my own family I will be sure that it is dicussed between me and my husband and taken to the Lord. I know that i will never regret having a child through the bonds of eternal marriage. I know the world tells us otherwise. But it has been stressed upon us through the Modern day prophets that we need to help "bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39) and that bringing Heavenly Father's choice spirits into mortality is part of our responsability as parents.

The Post- Mission life of Bailey Dot
So by popular demand, I'm back. For all of you who went into depression after I came home from the mission and there weren't anymore emails to recieve on Monday mornings... I'm starting a blog.Contact your psychiatrists and save yourself some money. And get ready for a whole different type of "email" every week. Now this is for my Family Relations course but since getting and married and starting a family seems to be what everyone is doing these days after getting home from their missions, I thought why not follow the crowd for once in my life haha. I'll be posting about different topics on the family, and unlike the mission, you can actually reply to my posts. And tell me what you think. And I would love it if you did! Well enjoy!
